Alvin and Violet

A play about a friendship that couldn't be better, based on a story by Rafik Schami.

Everything is going well on the farm.

The pigs wallow in their mud puddle, the chickens scratch and peck, and the rooster has a splendid dung heap. Everyone is happy and content.

Everyone? No, not everyone. The pig Albin is unhappy. Because everything about Albin is white - snout, hide, and curly tail. No pig wants to play with 'Curds Heap' Albin. Just when he's sitting unhappily in his old tire again, he meets Lila, a chicken that can no longer lay eggs.

The two outsiders become friends, share stories, and secretly gaze at the moon at night. Soon, they realize how precious their friendship is. When the sly fox threatens the farm, everyone lucks out once again thanks to clever Albin and brave Lila.

A drama about outsiderhood and the wonderful value of friendship and courage.
