A play based on an African fairy tale by Bärbel Maier
The puppet theater play 'Blakba' tells the story of how the zebra completely lost its stripes and eventually found them again.
One day, the zebra wakes up, and all its white stripes are gone. No one knows why. No one knows how. The zebra has turned into a black zebra. In short: a Blakba. And that's where the problems begin. Because no one wants a Blakba at the watering hole. So, the little black zebra sets out to find its stripes. Along the way, it is helped by an owl, three living stones, an elephant who can't keep track of its ears, and many, many more...
Blakba is a puppet theater play about bullying, courage, and kindness. A play for a world as it should be, but is not yet.
