A classroom play for more tolerance based on the picture book by Kirsten Boie & Jutta Bauer
Once upon a time, the man was also a child, which is obvious. Everyone was once a child.
He lived with his parents in a lovely little apartment. He went to school and played soccer with his best friend in the afternoons. He studied diligently, except for math. He didn't like that very much.
Later, after school, he did an apprenticeship. He earned money. He fell in love and got married. Soon, he had children of his own. He had a nice life. But then misfortune struck. He lost his job. His wife fell in love with another man and left him. Suddenly, everything was different.
"A So-So Life" tells the story of a man who became homeless. Without a house, without a home, without a roof over his head. It wasn't his fault. It just happened that way.
The play helps you understand the fates of homeless people and to have compassion.
