All Penguin, or what?

A small fable about big prejudices from a children's book by Dorothee Haentjes.

In the unforgiving cold of the Antarctic, a colony of emperor penguins, all bearing the name Maier, huddles against the biting wind. Amidst the icy expanse, Cornelius Mütz, the lone penguin researcher, quietly observes.

Suddenly, a stranger emerges, a penguin smaller than the rest, adorned with a red beak and stumpy legs. Müller is his name.

As expected, the colony withdraws from this interloper, leaving him to shiver alone. His fate seems sealed. However, the narrative takes a turn when one of the haughty Emperor penguins faces a predicament. In the tumult, his precious egg slips into the frigid sea, and only the diminutive Mr. Müller displays the courage to plunge into the icy depths.

It is now, perhaps, a moment for the esteemed Maiers to reconsider their stance.

Puppet play about Emperor Penguins - Xenophobia - Prejudice.

Peer Damminger managed to captivate the audience, young and old, for a whole hour with his Antarctica. Despite the cold, every spectator's heart warmed as they eagerly followed Müller's journey. Simple yet sufficient, affectionate and not overwhelming, the little penguins reigned on their ice floe. - Schwetzinger Zeitung
